As the “traffic police” of the warehouse inventory & safety logistics distribution center, WCS is responsible for keeping all procedures running smoothly, maximizing the efficiency of material handling subsystems,warehouse activities such as security packaging, e-commerce packaging and plastic sealing, etc. will also be interrelated.It provides unified interface for a wide range of material handling equipments, such as AS/RS, barcode scanning, conveyor belts, fully automatic sleeve shrink wrapping machines, just-in-time printing, conveyor systems, sorters, palletizers, etc.

The main functions of WCS include:

Connect the upper host system/WMS interface,exchange the information required for the daily operation of the distribution center.

Allocate work to various material handling subsystems to balance system activities and complete the required workload.

Provide real-time instructions to operators and material handling equipment controllers for order fulfillment and product process requirements.

Dynamically assign cartons, transfer locations based on defined sorting algorithms or applicable routing/order information received from the host.

5) Collect system operation performance data, so that operators can maintain the best performance of equipment.
